Project Scope

The project focused on strategic sourcing of workwear, including services such as cleaning, pick-up, and return, with a €0.8 million spend.

Key needs include further development in sourcing skills of the staff, identifying cross-country synergies, opportunities for consolidation and standardisation, defining the optimal go-to-market strategy, establishing a clear approach for tail spend and one-off items, and supporting fact-based negotiations.

Hudicor’s Approach

Full strategic sourcing project executed in a “learn-on-the-job” mode with the team.

The project included spend analysis, internal assessment, and market analysis with a focus on supplier connection.

A category strategy for MRO was defined and implemented through go-to-market activities (RFX) and fact-based negotiations.

The supply base was optimised, improvements proposed, and key learnings reviewed, leveraging Hudicor’s extensive experience in MRO sourcing and strategic sourcing projects in complex environments such as mining.

€225 thousand in price and spend savings were realised on a total spend of €800 thousand, on TCO an additional €75 thousand was saved, resulting in total savings of €300 thousand
