Project scope
The public institution aimed to organize its procurement processes more professionally and to further optimize its cost structure and achieve savings.
Hudicor’s approach
In the first place, a diagnostic focused on gaining understanding of As-Is, in order to define purchasing strategy and design To-Be. The main focus here was on creating spend visibility and increasing procurement capabilities in the area of value & performance measurement and methodological strategic sourcing for European public tenders.
Secondly, Hudicor prioritized the identified categories according to savings that could be realized and the ease of implementation. Together with the purchasing department, sourcing projects were then completed on different categories, such as furniture, catering, couriers, IT material, and maintenance & inspection.
The completion of multi-category sourcing projects resulted in an annual savings of 2.5 million euros.
We are pleased to hear that our implemented methodology for European public procurement continues to bear fruit even after the projects are completed.
