Client Profile
An international entertainment chain active in Europe, with a spend of €5.25 million on fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Belgium and Luxemburg.
Project Scope
The sourcing project covered a broad range of FMCG categories, including biscuits, chips, chocolate, soft drinks, water, ice, fresh foods, etc. The scope included evaluating current conditions, and exploring alternative products and brands, ensuring that there is a new contract in place.
Hudicor’s Approach
In this project, we followed a structured strategic sourcing approach. The first phase consisted of a detailed spend analysis and internal benchmarking to assess current conditions and identify potential savings. Having gathered the necessary data, we then conducted a comprehensive market analysis to evaluate alternative suppliers and products, including brand switching where necessary.
RFx processes enabled fact-based negotiations focused on pricing transparency, portfolio optimisation, and passing on cost increases when justified.
This approach aimed to unlock value through competitive tension, supplier consolidation, and improved contractual terms, resulting in a more resilient and cost-effective FMCG procurement setup.
We achieved savings of €620,000 and a new contract with more transparency and collaboration.
