Client Profile
A key player in the aviation ground support sector with a multiple-year project spend of more than €200 million.
Project Scope
Initially, supplier relationships were purely transactional, with no partnerships in place. Long lead times, limited capacity, and a complex, high-demand market posed major challenges. The environment was further complicated by rapidly evolving technology and customer-specific requirements.
After the strategy project, partnerships with key suppliers led to better terms, increased product availability, reduced lead times, improved inventory, and more favourable payment conditions. Cost savings were also achieved through lower prices and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO).
Hudicor’s Approach
We initiated the process by executing sourcing projects across all identified product categories. Each category began with a thorough internal analysis, followed by an external market assessment to capture key requirements, dynamics, and supplier capabilities.
A tailored sourcing strategy was then developed for each category. This was followed by a comprehensive tender process and numerous supplier interviews to better understand supplier needs and drive engagement.
The core objectives were to strengthen supplier relationships, secure improved supply chain terms, and achieve significant cost savings.
Focus on strengthening supplier willingness to enhance partnership and collaboration, improved supply chain terms, and cost savings
