Client Profile
A leading global distributor of off-grid energy, such as LPG and LNG, active in the area of biofuels and renewable energy solutions. The project focused on the European transport spend amounting to €46 million, including rail, road, and inland waterways logistics.
The Challenge
The transport market operated in a highly fragmented manner, with suppliers focused primarily on regional coverage and limited engagement in cross-border transportation.
Hudicor’s Approach
We initiated the project with a detailed analysis of all transport lanes, enhancing data accuracy by refining lane distances within the transport cube.
Together with a clear view on the current transportation market’s suppliers, threats, and opportunities, a strategic roadmap was developed to ensure transportation capacity and unlock competitive advantage.
A multi-country RFI was launched to introduce competition and open the market to both regional and international logistics providers, while strategically reframing the category from a local to a European perspective to enable broader market access and alignment with cross-border transport needs.
Adopting a European strategic perspective laid the foundation for designing a future-ready, optimised transportation model aligned with long-term business goals
